Dislikes

Distance was an issue for me. It took 1 hr for me to reach college from home.
The College has a big library with a lot varities of books but a proper librarian is not there so it's difficult for us to find out the book we searched for.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of the available job opportunities after studying. The faculty ranges from senior most to junior trainees. All of them are friendly and have good knowledge about the subjects they are teaching. There are 3 exams in each term which are easy to pass and time duration is also more.

Internships Opportunities

Government projects, Water treatment plants. Site engineer etc. These are some of the internships we can get while studying in the College. These all are very good projects and provide us with knowledge about the things we study.

Placement Experience

After the 6th semester, a 2-week crash course is conducted by the College to prepare the students for an interview. After that class campus interview starts and many top companies participate in this. Out of 10, a 6 gets placed. After the degree, I am taking M Tech in this college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike increase every year. There are many internships in the subjects that we study and many companies like Tata, Infosys, etc. hires student for campus interview. The cost to study is a little higher when compared to the Government colleges.

Campus Life

The annual fest is named Illuminati which is a 2-day event where the students from all nearby colleges and the students of this college showcase their talents in dance, music, skit, etc. It is followed by a late-night music show from any famous personality available at that time. The College also conducts a sports program and has separate college teams for cricket, football, basketball, etc., and tournaments also take place.

Admission

I got eligible for this course by writing the KEEM examination. The full details regarding the college application can be received online or through their College office at Kadivar, Trivandrum. From the Office, all details including the reservation benefits can be found. The admission process is fast when compared to other colleges in Trivandrum.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Remarks:

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

MCET, a campus to be educated and to enjoy.

I didn't apply to any other college because our college is well known in our district and is one of the best private colleges in the state. And it was close to my home too so I never had to apply for another college. I didn't got rejected because I never applied. The student must qualify Keam which is the entrance exam for engineering and medical specific to the state of Kerala. Should have good and considerable marks on the exams of +2 also. Students can apply to the college after the ranking of Keam is published for merit seats. Can appear directly to the college for management and NRI seats too.
