A perfect combination of academics and spirituality

For me MIT pune has been a wonderful place to be at during your college days. The campus is awesome. People are cooperative helpful in nature. The facilities provided are really good. Management is quite sensible and reachable.The had a lot fun and learnings during my 4 year journey in MIT Pune.

I took AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). I Scored 217 marks in total. Opt for MIT cause its one of the top rated institutes in Maharashtra. The placements of the college were always good and hence opted for MIT.

The B.E. (I.T.) course wasn't upto the mark as long as the Research aspect is concerned. However as MIT has recently got detached from the Pune university, the course has improved a lot and has become more research & knowledge oriented. Few of the electives like Theory of Computation(TOC) were full of algorithms which are useful in IT industry.

Interships for M.E. Masters of Engineering in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering are available. Stipend is around 7k to 10k. The exposure these candidates get is immense. Because the intership involves lectures to be taken on the B.E. classes of the respective courses.

Placements is rather the most important factor because of which MIT pune has made his name in the market. There are a lot of opportunities from a lot different organizations available in MIT Pune. People have got the jobs in MNCs like Barclays, Cognizant, Wipro , Infosys, Mu Sigma and other organizations. The companies offer packages starting from 300k to 1000k.

A lot of events have been held in the college as a cultural, technical and management festivals. Linuxication was one of them which conducts training for Linux by computer department. The event by the IT department also is very useful as far as the coding techniques have been concerned. The gaming competitions have always been the centre of attraction in all the events across the colleges.

The fee structure is a liitle expensive. Though as per fees taken by the other private institutes the fees is not at all expensive. The fees were around 60k per year for Bachelors of Engineering. Though it has increased to more than 100k per year now. I still believe the kind of reputation MIT has in the IT industry the fee ia worth paying instead of taking admission into the regional colleges were the placements are not upto the mark.

I never availed the loan facility for any of the 4 years. But there have been friends who have availed the loan facility.for all the 4 years. The administration is really very supportive in terms of providing the required documents and guidance to avail the loan facility from the banks. The education loan has been a key to the education of a lot of poor students. These students got good jobs later and they repaid it as well.

Campus Life is so damn happening in MIT. Lush gren natural view. Basketball court with concrete foundation. The large ground used for all the sports activities like football, cricket and baseball. The campus also have the sit outs to chill with friends in the leisure times. The gender equality has been a very interesting factor of MIT always. There is no kind of biasing done in the campus any way.

Hostels facility not really good. People have adjusted for a year and then started moving out. The most irritating factor was the mess which was in the college campus around a km away from the hostel. Also the hostel timings were very strict even for boys. The life of hostelites was nice in a way they were able to reach college very soon as the hostel is only a km away from the college.

The almuni meet is held every year in MIT Pune campus. Last year the meet has been held in USA as well. The almuni meet is always very special as it provides the way to the student to get in touch with the alumi and learn a lot of things from them. The faculty is always supportive in conducting such meets and introduce the alumni to the student. The alumni who attend these session are always ready to help the students to grow and excel in different sectors.

Exam were carried only twice a year as per the university norms. There also have been a lot of surprise tests taken by the faculty which always kept the students on the edge. Practicals conducted in the labs are very frequent but the practical exams are also conducted twice a year. So the practicals never have been so difficult and faculties have been very helpful during the sessions and exams.

The procedure was centralized. After the college was allotted, I visited the college collected the admission form from the administrative Department. Submitted the Demand Draft along with form. The notifications were communicated by the administration and later have been displayed on the notice board. The administration is really nice and helpful.

The faculty is nice. No favours. Rich in knowledge in a particular course. Faculty for TOC Theory of Computation and DAA Design Algorithm and Analysis were so good in explaining the algorithms that I dont really have to stretch a lot to secure good marks. The faculty is also very cooperative during the extracurriculum activities as well. Project mentors had been specially very helpful during the project work throughout the last semester.
