Civil engineering course I have chosen because of my interest in that subject. Faculty members are also good many new faculty are also there to share their experiences. Term examination is done on time and there is average difficulty.

L &T are there to provide internship to their company after placement Tcs are also provided a good opportunity for their students to learn about their project Berger Paint provide the sales man job to their students.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. In civil engineering companies like L&T, Tcs Berger Paint and many companies are there for selection highest paid placement is 10 lakhs given by Berger.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 60000 per semester. You got a scholarship of a full semester fee if you secure an 8.5 SGPA in the semester examination and many government scholarships is also. You got a stipend job from Aicte to fill your dream.

Campus Life

An annual fest called titiksha has been done as a tech-fest. its library is too good and properly aligned with books. Sports are played like cricket badminton chess volleyball football basketball and many sports are also there to play.

Admission

Admission is done through Jee main and also from their entrance exams SMVDUEE. You have to secure a minimum of 60 percent in 12 standards and must be clear on any of the above-mentioned examinations. Cut off is approx 84 percentile in jee mains.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
