Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. I like computers since my childhood and always wanted to study how actually they work, When I got into the IT dept. I knew about the functioning of the internet world. we have been taught, core subjects as well as software-related subjects.
Placement Experience
Placements come around the 7th semester in the college. Every final-year student is eligible for placement. We have good placement scores as compared to other private colleges in West Bengal. Companies like TCS, Wipro, EY, Deloitte, LTMintree, etc offer campus placement to students at our campus. average placement is around 400000
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is approx 1,00, 000. It varies from year to year. There are several opportunities of scholarships provided by the college as well as the state based on the financial condition of your house. As I'm not availing scholarship, I cannot guide much in this field but yeah, fees for one semester is pretty low as compared to other private colleges and our college provide good placement also.
Campus Life
Life on campus is exciting. There are several clubs in our college, like Rotaract, yoga, NSS, Anubhav, and Resonance. We even have a meditation centre at our college. We have a sports club at our college. We have a fashion team at our college. The infrastructure is also pretty good. We have fully air-conditioned labs in the basement. We have spacious classrooms, and they are avail with a projector and necessary requirements. Every floor has a water supply and a proper washroom facility. We have an auditorium.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is only available for girls. The hostel is inside of the campus. The hostel fee is 60000 for a year i.e., 5000 per month. The mess fee is additional and that is 2000m which you have to pay every month in the hostel to the hostel warden. There is in time for girls hostel and that is 8:00 during summers and 7:30 during winters. We have 5 different hostels inside the campus. Each hostel has a proper water facility and different kinds of rooms 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, 5 bed, and 6 bed which are allotted based on a first come first serve basis.
Admission
The admission process for my college is through WBJEE. Admission is also taken through JEE-MAINS. The expected cut-off was around 4000 rank for INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY in 2020. There are three rounds of counselling in which you can select up to 3 maximum colleges as per your preference. If you want to avail of hostel facilities, preference is given to students who are outside West Bengal. Only the girls' hostel is provided by the institute. The hostel campus is inside. It is a great experience studying at the Heritage Institute of Technology. Our college provides good placement opportunities in the whole of Bengal. Our campus is huge. We have a sports arena, and canteens too. The teachers are friendly. They help us in academics as well as mentor us.
