Good Campus With Good placements

My college is very good and we can enjoy our social life without neglecting other activities. The placements are also so good.

I wrote Jee Advanced exam to get a admission into my college. I wrote Jee mains and Advanced and after the announcement of results i applied for counselling and I got a seat here. I was interested in C.S.E but i didn't get a set in C.S.E so i choose mathematics and computing.

At first the course curriculum didn't impress me. But after the end of 1st semester, i got so much interest in my course. All this is due to the new and innovative methods incorporated to design the curriculum. We, the students at IIT Kharagpur also get a chance to elect the optional subjects as well. We can learn courses that fascinate us and expertise in that field. There is a lot of encouragement for this.

My college offers internship to 4th year students and the selection process is well conducted. A large number of companies are contacted every year for internships and this is carried by the management. the average stipend amount lies between 15,000 - 20,000 INR. I never got a chance to intern with any company but i am still waiting for that experience.

The placement cell takes care of the placements in my college. Almost 98% percent of students get the placements of their choice. It is a fact that students who have maintained a CGPA of 7.5 irrespective of the branch have been successfully placed. Almost 90% of the placements are given by topmost corporate giants. The average salary is 9 to 12 lakhs per annum. Every year more than 1500 students get placed in 250+ companies with good packages.

Events play an important role in the student life in my campus. Spring fest and the Kshtij bare two mega fests conducted by my college. We get a chance to enjoy a lot during this fests. Also we celebrate different festivals with sense of oneness. Diwali in my campus is excellent.

The fee for my college depends on various factors such as caste and annual income of the parents. The general fee is nearly 1,95,000 INR and the mess ,laundry and room fee are required to pay separately.I hope that the fee structure is easily affordable as it is different for different sectors and is based on the financial position of the family.

Loans are offered by many banks. There are no scholarship facilities but fee concession is given based on the family income and caste reservation.

The exams are conducted in a semester wise pattern. There are 2 semesters per year. Each semester consists of one mid-semester and one end semester and some internal quizzes. The exams were a not a burden on students life. It was a chill culture.

My faculty are well qualified to teach us. They are having a good experience in the field of teaching and they use good and efficient methods to teach us. Some of the techniques are okay but some needs a change as they are bit old techniques. Many faculty are involved in some or the other research work. Some write books as well. They are interactive but the problem is that we can ask the doubts in the college timings only.
