Course Curriculum Overview
I am in The Information Technology department of B. Tech. The faculty is good. Of course, there are always good teachers based on explanations and skills. But the college provides various opportunities and assistance.
Internships Opportunities
Companies coming to campus organize recruitment drives that initially take you up for an internship, which may or may not be converted to a permanent job. But opportunities will be there for you and you will be assisted.
Placement Experience
Companies do come in large numbers ut since placements involve all students of the techno group, there is a huge competition. Even then, almost everyone lands a job, starting from 4 per annum. If you are really good, you would get opportunity of cracking job offers above 10 lac too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average fee per semester for the 2020-52024 batch was 56k per semester. But it has increased quite a bit from the next sessions. EWS category benefits are available but have to be availed via WBJEE only.
Campus Life
There are a lot of clubs you can join. Events never cease. YOu will have multiple platforms to prove yourself. But some depts are strict and you usually cannot afford to participate in many of the events.
Admission
I got through WBJEE 2020. My rank was 10k. Generally, the cutoff for CSE/ IT dept is 8k. In my year, It went till 11k I believe as the paper was tough and maybe due to the various situations related to the pandemic.
