Remarks
A good college for nerds and introvert students. You can't seek future in any other field except from academics from here. I kind of like my college since I have always been a peace head. With very less extra-curricular activities, the students are not able to explore their hidden talents which can be a loss for both the personality development of the student and the college as well.
Entrance Preview
Acharya Narendra Dev College comes under Delhi University, so students are given admission, totally on the basis of merit. My pretty interest was in the field of electronics so I went for Bsc. Electronics course. Class 12th board marks matter for admission in this college. There is also a quota for students who are sound in other activities like sports and other cultural activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is good with not very much focusing on practical learning. Though, research initiatives have been taken by the college, particularly DBT star projects are also in process right now. List of elective options is quite heavy, you get to choose a subject every semester depending on the interest and variety.
Internships Opportunities
The college campus does not provide any internships but the students are given projects to work on. The projects help us in a better understanding of the concepts of theoretical study and can be used as internship projects in various companies. Students have to find internships on their own according to their talent and knowledge.
Placement Experience
Placement for a three year course is always minimal, unless you are a north campus student so it won't be cool to blame the college for lack of placements. The college can only prepare us for our desired jobs and goals. But it should be every individual's choice to find the correct type of internship according to their basis of study.
College Events
Fest organized by the college is not so up to the mark. You shouldn't really have butterflies in your stomach for cultural fest. Average footfall is about 3000 people in the fests. Certain fests and events are also organized exclusively for college students. The events are funded by sponsorship by big companies and advertisement of different products in the fests. College authorities play a great role in organizing the fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very nominal in our college. A total of approx 30 thousand is estimated for 3 years of my graduation. Hostel facility is not provided by the college. Students have to arrange for the staying facilities for themselves. The fees of Delhi University is very less and can be afforded by almost all the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, there are scholarships depending on the financial scenario of the students. Students who are financially weak are supported and funded by the university. Scholarships are also provided to students who have various other talents than academics.
Campus Life
This college doesn't fall fit when it comes to extra Curricular activities. Not very active in the field of sports and other societies. It needs a room for improvement in many extra curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel is available for the college students. They usually take PG's and rooms nearby their college which are available to them easily. The PG's are pocket-friendly as well.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni has not been very interactive. Though the college provides an alumni meet every year but it does not help in the overall development of the college as well as the students
Exam Structure
Yes,the staff is strict when it comes to discipline and regularity of classes and labs and tests. Attendance in all the labs and exams is compulsory. So, it is certainly not a chill culture and I do get tired.
Faculty
Teachers are really qualified and experienced but their qualification is respective to the interest shown by the students so, it's a mine you gotta look for gems, which sure are present. All the lectures are interactive and both students and teachers take interest in the course. The standards of teaching are very high.
