Its a good college. Management is very supportive. Special care is given for weak students.

Entrance Preview

I wrote kerala engineering entrance examination. But i got placed in management quota as i could not perform well in the exam. There is interview process. I am interested in civil engineering that made me to choose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

I took civil engineering. I am much interested in this. It's a good course it includes both practical and theory the college gives much support and guidance for the students.

Internships Opportunities

No the college does not provide any internship. Even they can do it from outside so they can get upto 5000 as stipend. Faculties will support for intenships.

Placement Experience

College provides good placement for qualified students in TCS mrf etc. i dont know about their average package. Even a good percentage of students are getting placed.

College Events

The college conducts many tech fest and cultural and non-cultural program that keeps good standard. Ethnic day college fest, Onam celebration are celebrated in grand.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As i placed in management quota i have to pay 75000rs as tuition fees and other fees extra. Including all other fees it cost 90000 per year for me. Its a huge amount i have to pay per year. I had taken loan for this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarship can be availed in the college. I didn't apply for any scholarships. College will help in getting loans they will provide necessary documents to get loans.

Campus Life

There are many extracurricular activities in the college. College fest and sports competition. And also many other competitions were conducted. I participated in many programs and won prizes.

Hostel Facilities

Yes i stays in hostel . Hostel rooms are good. They are not single sharing. I have to pay 2500 for the hostel per month. Hostel facilities are good except food. Every time there will be problem regarding food that is non hygienic.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the college have a good alumni network. Every year alumni meet is conducted. They discuss about the overall development of the college.

Exam Structure

Not much tired with exams. But we have to work more in labs for practical learning where I concentrate more. It's ok ok.

Faculty

Faculties are much qualified and experienced. All the teaching faculties will be m tech or phd holders. Thats a great experience to study under them. They are very much interactive.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I had applied for this course in several colleges in banglore and other places. The reason which hold me here is the course affordability and good infrastructure provided by this college. This college offers BTech artificial intelligence and Data Science at the rate of 98500 per year as tution fees while other colleges offer this same course around 200000 tution fee per year which is a better reason for studying this college. The college also provide scholarships for students on the basis of their plus two marks and keam ranks which will cover their entire tuition fee which helps the students to study in a cost effective way and also increase the quality of education.
