You are given your branch according to your rank in jee advanced. the best thing that I experienced here is that you are surrounded by the cream students of the country, not only this but the professor here are highly qualified with immense knowledge and have contributed to various projects as well have mentored many in their careers. So you get a very good culture and surrounding on the campus

Popular companies give internship programs including Big tech brands like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Goldman Sachs etc. students are aslo helped in getting internships by the CDC(Career development centre).

placement of the college is excellent. With an average package of 19LPA, there is a good chance of you getting a placement. The highest packages even go as high as 2.7 Cr. Internships and pre-placement offers are also excellent.

well for general students the fees range between 10 to 12 lakh depending on the course. You also get various reservations and scholarships which you can avail to reduce your fees. You may think that the fees are high but compared to other colleges and the return on investment it is very good and you also get the IIT tag.

The official tech fest of tye college is kHISTIZ which is also Asia's largest techno-management fest. Along with it, the college conducts our annual fest known as SPRING fest, which is India's biggest socio-cultural fest. The Central Library of the college is India's largest library with all types of books even in digital format. sports and curricular activities on the campus are best. Our college includes all types of sports facilities and for students who want to grow in their respective sport, the college provides huge opportunities. The hostels are good with a great environment and culture. You are provided with full internet facilities in not only the hostels but also on the whole campus. You even get an ethernet connection per student in your room. The food is decent and contains various dishes from all regions of India. You also have paid canteens where you can eat other options other than the mess menu.

Studying at IIT KGP has been an incredibly transformative experience for me. Entering an IIT is not easy. You have to clear JEE Advanced with a decent rank probably under 10k. Hopefully, I had cleared the exam with a satisfactory rank to get into the Mechanical department at IIT KGP.
