Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen btech in Electrical Engineering as I was interested in this course. The faculty are friendly and are too helpful. The classes are offline and in an interactive way. They help us in strengthening our weak topics and they are easily available, sometimes they take extra classes too for the required purposes. The classes are five days in a week with theory, tutorials and practicals in the same ratio. The lab assistants are friendly and helpful. Most of the teachers in the Electrical Engineering department are Mtech, Some of them are P.Hd and some are ongoing P.hd.
Internships Opportunities
You can get internships through the help of your teachers and training and placement cell which is available near the office. and you should be looking for internships yourself along with carrying good grades.
Placement Experience
Approximately 80 to 90 per cent of the population gets placed. The highest package is around 40 lakhs. Frequent recruiters are Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, PCS, indo-japan, Accenture, IBM, infosys, and tech Mahindra. The average placement is about 6 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
All the given fees are EXCLUDING hostel - For the first semester the fee in 82200, For the second semester the fee is 52000, For the third semester the fees is 60600, For the fourth semester, the fee is 53100, For the fifth semester the fees is 61700, For the sixth semester the fees is 54200, For the seventh semester the fees is 62800, For the eighth semester the fees is 55300. Per semester exam fee is rs. 2000 which is not included in the fee structure. For scholarships you can apply for various scholarship in the central government, domicile state or some private company.
Campus Life
In Haldia Institute of Technology, we have all the necessary facilities including a hostel for boys(11) and girls(3), a hospital, gym, library, sports complex and grounds for various sports, auditorium, I. T. infrastructure, cafeteria, Alumni association, laboratories and wifi all over the campus
Admission
The eligibility to do BTECH at Haldia Institute of Technology is: Passed high school/12th from CBSE or any recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Give the WBJEE entrance exam and clear the cutoff To give wbjee exam go to www.wbjee.com, this exam is conducted every year mostly in the month of April and its registration starts in the mid of December.
