Likes

Infrastructure and campus of heritage institute of technology is very awesome.
Faculty are very nice all are well experienced and educated.
Placements is also very good almos all cse/it candidate get placed.

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
There is no hostel provided by college so accommodation may be a problem.
No fests only tests happens here so you will rarely see any fest here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Information technology is one of the best branches in this college and also it is good in terms of placements. Almost all faculty are graduated from Jadavpur University they are interactive and intelligent. 4 surprise test happens then the final semester exam happens.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 72200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

45000-46000 rupees are charged every semester as tuition fees also in admission time 72200 are charged including different kinds of fees. Also, you will have to pay 1200 per semester as exam fees. Svmcm is a very nice scholarship and the college provides approval very easily to it after verification.

Campus Life

Campus Life is going to be awesome because of its location. Also in West Bengal among all private colleges heritage institute of Technology has a beautiful and bigger campus. There are many clubs run by students and teachers. Different games and sports are organized.

Admission

Admission to the heritage institute of Technology happens via Wbjee entrance exam also you have to pass 12th with 60% marks in the science stream. If you are a tuition fee waiver candidate then no tuition fee that is semester fees will be charged.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
