Data science is a very useful course today. The demand for data scientists are gaining day by day. The student and teacher ratio is about 50:1, which is good enough. Most of the professors are M. Tech. and Ph. D. The teaching method is decent enough. They force more on lab classes. Between every semester exam, you'll get about 4-5 months. It is not too difficult to pass but also not too easy to get very good GPA.

Probably the best internship you get here is from Amazon. As I am a junior student so I don't have exact knowledge about internships. The projects in data science and artificial intelligence in robotics is very popular here.

Students become eligible for campus placement after 6th semester. Top IT companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant etc. visit every year. And they provide a good number of offers. The highest package was INR 44LPA and the average package about ?10LPA. The highest package on campus placement was ?14LPA. The highest recruiter is TCS. After getting the degree my plan is to get a job in top IT companies like Google or Microsoft with a good internship. It's the of every student. I will also try to attempt GATE.

The whole course costs about 4.5L in 4 years. Every semester you should pay 44K to 48K depending on the semester. The admission fee is 28K. You'll get National Scholarship, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship etc. I don't know if there is any job available with a stipend. But you would get the opportunity to get a placement at top IT companies like Google, Microsoft etc.

The Annual cultural fest ECLECIA is conducted every year. Also, annual tech fest DAKSHH is also conducted. The library is probably the greatest thing you get in this college. It's huge, situated in the basement of the Central Block. You don't have to think about semester books, they will issue your books at the beginning of every semester and then mail you to collect the books. You will get so many journals in the library. The classrooms are airy, big and comfortable. There are both air-conditioned and non-AC classrooms. The lighting is also good enough. A sports tournament is held every year. Music, dance and drama are also held now and then. There are clubs for every extra curricular activities and these are run by students. The clubs are, Rotaract & NSS (like NGO), Resonance (Music), Ghungroo (Dance), Anubhav (Drama), Anahita (Literature), Robotics club and so on. The great GDSC community is also available in this college.

The course makes great data scientists. In this world of technology, there are great opportunities of data scientists today. You should have to pass the Higher Secondary Examination (Pure Science) from a renowned board with good marks. Also you should give West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main examination and get a decent rank. You can then apply for this college through counselling. If you want direct admission, come to the college and meet the administration office. Reservation for SC, ST and OBC students is only for the counselling list.
