If you are good in sports or extra-curricular activities and seriously have a very minimal mood to go further in academics, this is the best place for you. But if you want a college where you can learn anything, think any other college. As this review is gonna cost you your future, I have been trying to be very straight here. Ya one more thing, here, you'll have a lot of time to prepare for entrances as the exams held are very easy and a matter of a few days. It was mind-blowing in First Year, a little less to that in Second, lesser in 3rd and finally "Tu Kal Chala Jaega to Mai kya Karunga" type of experience. MDU, undoubtedly has best of the infrastructures in Haryana. So we had no complaints about that. Also, we played a lot. There is a separate Sports complex offering facilities like Cricket, Footbal, Gym, Basketball, Squash, Table Tennis, Boxing, Swimming and so on. So till now It has been a great experience expect for the fact that the faculty is not good after the 2nd year.

I gave JEE Mains exam and secured a rank of 90000 in it. I thereby applied for the separate state counselling of Haryana and this way I could apply for all the government and self-financed colleges in Haryana. I started with the registration at HSTES and did the college choice filling. Soon, I had my name in the 1st counselling list. I went there, had my admission done in Mechanical Engineering. There was no interview held. Mechanical Engineering is said to be an Evergreen branch, this was the reason why I chose this.

The course went great till the second year. After which M.tech students start teaching your core subjects. Just theoretical knowledge is given and a little practical learning except in the workshops, where you'll learn the basics a lot. The best part is that no.matter which stream you choose in the beginning, you can swap it exactly after one year. This gives you a chance to feel the environment and tests your compatibility with the trade meanwhile.

No the college doesn't take the responsibility of providing Internships. Everyone here wants a soft escape and a burden free life (favulty I am talking about). You yourself have to do it.

The placement scenario is great for CSE, good for ECE and Electrical and just fine for the Mechanical. Also, job interviews start from 3rd year onwards and you can easily apply for each company uf you are eligible. But to be frank, there are a few students only (about10) who could grab placements because we are given the least practical.knowledge here.

Yeah it is infact a house of cultural and sports events. this year we hosted National Youth Fest. Moreover, we organize, Haryana Youth Fest also apart from the MDU, Fest. Also, we have a UCS club which organizes events like in Drama, Sports, Singing, Dancing, Quizes, Debates, Speech competitions, etc. You can participate in them and they take you to the competitions.

It is quite affordable as compared to other colleges in Haryana. Fees is INR 65000 per year (both semesters) and a separate hostel fees of INR 12500-13000 for complete year. The mess charges are separate which depend on the nom of days you eat in the mess (INR 60-70 per day).

If you are from OBC/SC/ST, congratulations, you'll be charged no tuition fees. Unfortunately, you'll be given no scholarship on the basis of your 12th percentage. But if you manage to be the topper of your branch, you'll be given a separate scholarship amount.

It is in fact the place of extra-curricular activities only. Studies are taken lightly here. You'll have tge favility to participate in singing, dancing, Drama, etc. here. So you can sjowcase you talent in case you've any.

The rooms are on a sharing basis (2) in a room in the first two years and then you can apply for a single sharing room in the 3rd year. Different hostels are assigned in each year depending upon the distance of the college from where you reside. I used to live in Gurgaon, so I used to get it in the last except for the First year.

No there was no platform provided for the alumni-student interaction till now.

It's a very chill culture instead. Exams are not at all frequent and labs keep you occupied in jut first year which keeps on decreasing as you proceed to the last year. You have enough time in a day to chill, to study and also there are a lot of holidays given here.

Faculty is very much qualified but it's veey impirtant to mention here that you'll only be able to have them during your 1st year only. The faculty will be left to 1-3 experienced teachers only in the next 3 years. The rest of the subjects are taught by the M.Tech students some of which are good but not that much good to teach you everything. So out of 5, I'll give it a 3 in Faculty
