College is overall good but sometimes I feel few faculty are not good. But Atmosphere is good and studious.
Entrance Preview
I have given JEE exam in 2015 to join engineering. My AIR was 21467. Due to some personal issues I didn't go for PEC-Chandigarh or NIT-Kurukshetra. I decided to join here. There is no interview, just a counseling by Haryana State Government. Screening was done on Basis of AIR and some reserved seats. I choose Mechanical Engineering because this is where I feel comfortable. I was interested in engines in particular. Also my teachers guide me in this regard on seeing my interest.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here the Education system is autonomous. Mechanical Branch is well developed here. A separate building is made for Mechanical branch. Teachers are good too. Labs are well equipped for practical knowledge. Also institute provide funds to students for projects and send the teams to various competitions.
Internships Opportunities
Yes my college provides us internship. I didn't attend it though as I got my internship at Maruti Suzuki India limited. There was no stipend provided.
Placement Experience
No mechanical core companies visited my campus previous year but few are visiting this year. Lots of students are getting placed in IT companies such as HCL, WIPRO, INFOSYS, TCS etc. Average package is around 3LPA
College Events
Yes fests are organised on University level as well as College level.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is variable for different people. For general category fees is around ₹32,000 per semester. It is affordable by normal middle class family.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, college provides scholarship to SC/ST students and students who are poor.
Hostel Facilities
No, I am not residing in hostel. I live in my own house. Hostels are of whole University. These are available in choices of 1 bed, 2 bed or 3 bed in a room. Hostels are well maintained with WiFi network. I can't provide the amount of hostel as I have no information about it.
Exam Structure
Well exams are conducted once in a month (sessionals). Although we have lab of every subject once a week, it doesn't make us feel tired. But schedule makes us sleepy after the Lunch break.
Faculty
Not all teachers are good. Few are very brilliant and provide deep knowledge about the subject. However, 2-3 teachers can't work efficiently and students have to cover up the syllabus themselves.
