Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty-student ratio is bearable. Most faculties up until now have been highly qualified and helpful. The term exams are conducted 3 times including end semesters. The final evaluation is based on scores of all of them combined so getting a good score is not difficult as there are multiple avenues of recovery and improvement. Exams are easy to pass if you are somewhat attentive in class.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are one of the best things about the college. Internships are mandatory for every student in their 4th year. Every year companies visit to recruit students for internships and placements too.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in my opinion. Students get placement opportunities and internship opportunities from the third year itself. Avg for 2023 was around 13.5 and the median was 12. The highest offered was 86 I think.
Fees and Financial Aid
A lot of scholarship opportunities for ews, sc, st students. There are national and state scholarships and the institute helps the student with availing them. The cost to study including the hostel comes to around 3.5 lpa
Campus Life
Annual fest is conducted in February and tech fest is in November. Other than that an institute gathering in January which is a sports event. The library is a little underwhelming but provides all the necessary material for study either offline or online or both. Is open 5-6 days of the week. Online books can be accessed at any time. Sports clubs become active during from nov-april for institute gatherings and inter iiit selections.
Hostel Facilities
Room comes equiped with a table, chair and a cabinet for each student . Two options available either 4 seater or two. Meal quality in mess is good enough. Registration for hostel can be done during admissions and they are a little costly but not too much.
Admission
I got the college during the 2nd round of CSAB counselling based on my JEE MAINS score. All the necessary forms required were available on the iiitn website after the counselling process. I needed my tc, migration certificate, character certificate, and 12th cbsearksheet along with other documents nts mentioned on the form I was supposed to fill. Once I reached the institute with all the necessary documents and forms the process took about 4 hrs.
