My B-Tech journey

The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Some facilities are even PhD degree holders. The faculty to students ratio is 1:15. The course curriculum is industry oriented and the exams are conducted twice during a semester. The exams are well structured and to pass the exams one has to burn the midnight oil.

There are a number of internship opportunities for eligible students. Around 180 students were Given internships during last year with stipends ranging from 15k to 40k. The company mainly ask for web development, data science, DevOps, app development, ml and ai.

The placements of the college are good with the highest package around 32lpa and the average package around 5lpa. Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. The various companies that visit the college are Accenture, PWC, sap labs, tata power, etc. Around 85% of students are placed every year with decent packages.

The fees including the account fees and hostel fees are 186000 per year and the mess fee is 4000 per month. Scholarships are provided to students of Odisha domicile. Campus placements are very good and around 80% of students are placed by the end of the course.

The campus life is amazing. There are a number of fests organised throughout the year. The annual fest of the college is Zygon which is conducted during the month of April. The classrooms are well-equipped and there are also various clubs to encourage extracurricular activities.

The hostels are well maintained with 24/7 water and electricity supply. The washrooms are cleaned daily and are very hygienic. The mess food is average. The menu of mess is repeated Every week. Overall the hostels are very affordable and enjoying.

The admission process was simple. We have to register for Ojee counselling and on the basis of our ranks we were allotted different branches based on our preferences. The application form is released every year on Ojee website as well as the Silicon website. There is also a provision for a spot round.
