Likes

First of all I like the campus and weather and the Kashmiri people.
Security for girls is very good during night time
I like the teachers nature in helping the students

Dislikes

Connectivity is very poor in Srinagar through roads
The college crowd is not very intelligent
Weather is very harsh during winters 🥶 in Kashmir

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I was interested in doing engineering. The student-faculty ratio is very good i.e.50:1, All the teachers are very qualified with Ph.D. from IITs. Exams are always held on time and basically, it will be easy to pass if we focus on our class.

Class Size: 112Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

IIT, PSUs, and other private companies for the role of interns comprising different stipends depending on the job given Ai generated, Robotics, Machine language, AutoCAD, and other things depending on our expertise.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are like any other NIT and it provides fees reduction for economically weaker students of 2/3 and 100% depending on the income I got a fee reduction in college and as I am in the first year, currently I am enjoying my college life.

Campus Life

Techvaganza is usually held in the month of June. All the necessary documents and books are available. Centralized AC, elevated, with smart board. Think of any sport that is available on our campus from Cricket, Football, Basketball, Tennis, and Badminton. Sargam, Soapbox, Automophiles, Robonox, Coading Mafia.

Admission

Jee Main qualification, 12th with 75% overall. NTA, JOSAA, CSAB, Fees benefits for SC/ST and lower income groups. and seat reservation for category and home state students Nothing needs to be improved.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score.
