Faculty members are literally good and supportive
The beauty of this palace as Kashmir is called heaven on earth

Dislikes

Here is 5 students in single room that is disgusting
Toilets overall are in very bad condition
Although extream winter is also a disturbing stuff

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I wanted to be a software engineer, and the faculty-student ratio is good in comparison to other colleges. All the professors are well-qualified and well-experienced personalities. Exams are held in two stages mid and final.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides an internship and there are minimum criteria to start an internship that is above 7.5 CGPA, lots of companies visit here some of them are skygen trading LLC, spark foundation, sttabot technologies, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 20000. The college provides scholarships for financially poor students that those students whose parent's income is below one lakh, their tuition is totally free, and they have to pay only the hostel fee and mess fee very minimum.

Campus Life

Campus Life is really fantastic basically here time to activity is organized which provides a good environment to interact with lots of people and a very good opportunity to learn a lot of things one of the good activities is techvaganza. The library is good with lots of books available.

Admission

Admission in this college is the same as other NITs of India that are based on JEE Mains performance, for other state quota OBC category candidates have to score at least 97 percentile in JEE Mains for the CSE branch.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score.
