Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is the old curriculum followed for many years and the faculties are decent enough and there is an attendance criterion also of 75 percent and the faculties are strict about it and the facilities and labs are quite good and have good exposure. The faculties are good.
Internships Opportunities
We get internship opportunities in 3rd year of college and we get about 3 months of working in an internship and the college itself provides an internship or you can get an internship by your self there are companies that visit campus to hire students for internships.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is working really nicely, the highest package of nit Hamirpur is 173 lpa in 2022 and the average package of CSE is 16 lpa and for mechanical is 8 lpa there are too many companies visited such as Amazon, etc. and students from the 7th semester are eligible for placements and about 85 percent students got placements this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for open category students is 76700 per semester and 35000 hostel fee for 1st semester and 25200 for the second and for those whose income is less than 5 lac 33000 and for those whose less than 1 lac is 13500 and also for SC and ST category is 13500 and there are scholarship chances for students whose family income is less than 5 lac.
Campus Life
The annual fest is amazing and it's me is hill fair and there is also a technical fest named as nimbus which is again the best fest and there is the availability of books and journals and library in quite enough, amount all classrooms are projected with a projector and wifi facility and at nit Hamirpur there are about every sport played and have a student activity center where all indoor sports are played and for outdoor sports, there is 1 big ground available and there are too many clubs and societies like public relations, app team, pixonoids, etc.
Admission
We get admission at nit Hamirpur using JEE Mains and getting enough percentile to get a branch in NIT and then through the counseling process of Jossa and later csab, if we get about 94 percentile in general category from another state then we can get a branch and 90 in the home state.
