We doesn't have a indoor ground to play badminton.
To attend classes we have to move from one building to another building.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I wanted to learn something new and innovative ideas and coding. The faculty is too good. The professors are very helpful and friendly to us. Each semester there are two internal exams and one-semester exam.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Cognizant, tcs, Capgemini, Wiper, and Deloitte offered the jobs. The average package offered to the candidates is 5LPA. In the year 2023, some of the students got 5-6 job offers from very good companies.

Placement Experience

From the sixth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited our college Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, Amazon, Persistent, and Deloitte. 86% of students got their placements. My plans after getting the degree are to get a good job company and well profile.

Fees and Financial Aid

Till 2022 the fee structure of BTech was 470000 and from 2023 the fee structure of BTech Computer Science is 550000. Scholarship offers from our college are Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and the Oasis Scholarship.

Campus Life

Our fest name was majistic and it occurs in the month of March or April. Tech Fest occurs in September. About sports, there are different sports like badminton, cricket, football, and volleyball. We have a literature club and a photography club.

Admission

This is a very good college. The teachers are very good. We have a flipped class in our college and this is the best version of learning. To take admission to JIS College of Engineering the average cutoff is 20000 in WBJEE Rank.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good.
