my College

The course curriculum is almost similar to other engineering colleges in Kolkata, as most of them are affiliated with MAKAUT. And the faculty members teach according to the course curriculum. Mostly it's like 1:50 faculty-to-student ratio for combined classes and 1:25 for Flip classes. And I think every college has a few teachers who are not so much favorite to students, the rest faculty members are fine. The term exams are very frequent but the end sem exams are quite hard to score also because of our strict checking process.

The Campus Placement is okay in our college. It's average and mostly on break even. From 3rd year u r eligible for internships and from 4th year u r eligible for placements. As we all know, there are mass recruiters in all colleges so as we have here too. But, if u can build yourself better than others u can grab a better opportunity.

The fee is 4.7L for our batch but we get to know that the fee might increase in the upcoming batch. The fee structure is okay, not so high but not so low as well compared to other colleges' fees. I didn't get any scholarship so I don't know much about scholarships.

Life on campus is good. There are many clubs in our college of which many are active throughout the year and some occasionally. There are fests happening in our college too like the JIS TECH FEST, which is the most famous one, and also many more. Infrastructure is as much as required, we can't complain much about infrastructure but some of the classrooms are a little below average maybe they can be upgraded in future, don't know. U can get a good Social Life here as the seniors don't interact much with the juniors.

The admission process was Okay personally for me! I got admission through the WBJEE examination and the Cut off for the course I took was far behind my rank still I took it because I was only in the CSE branch. And as we all know how WBJEE works and their application process works, so no need to tell more about it.
