Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very structured. Seats in the Information Technology department are around 126. Very good faculty members, strict and disciplined. Teachers are very helpful, and have a thorough knowledge of the subjects they teach. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the course and faculty members 8.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 550000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is divided into 8 semesters as in other colleges. 1st-semester fees around? 70000 and the last semester's fees are? 55000. Financial assistance is available in terms of various scholarships plus there is an additional cost if you are staying in a hostel or pg.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. Eastern India's 2nd largest fest, EDGE is held on the college campus, followed by various other fests. The college has many clubs including the tech club and cultural club. TMSL has a huge library.

Admission

Got admitted through WBJEE rank. Application forms can be found on the internet. Application fees were around? 400 and counselling fees were?1000. Cutoff for TMSL was around 10000 in the first round of counselling.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
