Course Curriculum Overview

There are many things good in my college I personally feel all the faculty are very much helpful but everywhere there are some exceptions also present. but it's a great environment in college it would be lovely.

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure will be changed as the college grows at my time the college total fees were 470000 for four years now it might be changed. so ya it varies year to year and if you got skills you will grab a Campus job with an average package of 4 to 6 lakh.

Campus Life

The college infrastructure is quite well and great in my sense. college is huge but there are many fields on a college campus to work on. Ground is quite maintained you will get great friends there so it's nice

Admission

I took the admission from wbjee counselling. There are no such reservation criteria you will get a CSE branch up to 30k rank in Wbjee and for tfw, you have to be under 15k. And if you want to get admission directly you can go to the jis website and apply from there.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
