Course Curriculum Overview

I choose my course Computer science and Engineering. This course is related to IT/Software jobs. Total 48 subjects in 8th semester. It's all faculty is ok so not difficult to pass in exam but yes attendance matter lots. So last you have a low rank in jee or another exam you take for admission here.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is average compared to tier-one. Now college fees are 550000 in total 4th year. And hostel fees in per 6mon 36000. Talking about scholarships is not yet anything provided but I am from Bihar so loans provide my government.

Campus Life

When we talk about college campus it is okay but not big. College life is very good interact lots of friends. All are very casual interactions so don't worry you don't feel bored. And last all things are just okay.

Admission

In my college admission through Wbjee, Jee mains and also management quota. So you can provide all your documents and get admission. In management quota college has provided to take admission to any branch depending on your 12th class percentage

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good.
