No ragging : I was scared of getting ragged in the college as I am a bit introvert but in JISCE there I no ragging curriculum
Seniors are good and supportive. They are always ready to help you .

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I opt for science stream in class 11th and I had a computer science subject in my 11th and 12th class I started liking coding and programming more then PCM so I opt for Btech in CSE . Teachers are good they are helpful too . Exam are conducted at time .

I just passed first year so I don't know much about placements and intership offered by the college but I have seen many seniors doing internship in third year .But I don't know In which company and on which stipend they are working

I can say if you have skills you will get placed. Around 70 percent students got placed with an average package of 4LPA. placements in core branches are not good but for CSE /IT placement is good. I just passed first year so I am not aware of the highest package of the college

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure in 2023 has increased from 4.7 lakh( total for 2022 students) to 5.3lakh for Cse branch I don't know much about other branches . You can get SVM scholarship of you have more than 60 percentage aggregate in 12th boards

Campus Life

I don't know much about fest conducted by college but a fest was conducted when I was in 1st year. Book present in the library are enough for you to pass in semester exams they will provide you book every semester. Sports like football and cricket is too popular in the college.

Admission

I appeared for jee mains exam and got a score of about 70 percentile and then through counselling I got a CSE btech seat In JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. I just went to the college with my seat allotment letter and then they filled my college form and then I paid the semester fees of around 82k (which include 5k seat allotment fees) and I got admission

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
