Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science and engineering course because it is a very popular course and the faculty member is quite good, not the best and their qualifications are mainly MTech etc. This exam is quite tough to pass.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 470000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the Computer science and engineering course is 470000 and there are many scholarships for SC, ST students swami vivekananda scholarship is for all students and there is also a student credit card facility.

Campus Life

Go to the dining hall to have a meal, pick up something to drink from a cafe, or find a study spot at the student center. Putting yourself out there on campus gives you a lot of opportunities to say hi to new people and potentially meet some new friends.

Admission

Eligibility of the course is 10th and 12th pass and wbjee Or jee main entrance exam pass with good marks. Application fees are available in the online center and admission fees is 470000 which is great value. I think it should be decreased.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
