Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering as I like academic skills like programming, problem-solving and leadership. The faculty members are patient, responsive and clearly explain complex topics. They are highly educated and explain everything in detail so that students can understand it easily. Term exam papers are not too difficult if studied properly. The faculty members also take extra classes if they have any doubts left and take revisions of the subject they take.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 470000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have done many projects and appeared in many exhibitions. The companies are cognizant, Wipro, amazon and many others. They provide training under their supervision and also help in the training period about the work and how it is done.

Placement Experience

Placements are good of our college as many companies visit like wipro, cognigent, amazon and many others. There are criterias to be eligible for the campus placements . About 85 percent get job and pakages they offer is about 7 lakhs and more

Fees and Financial Aid

For 4 years b.tech course the total course fee is 4 lakh and 70 thousand rupees. There are many scholarships by the government as well as other scholarships that are shared with students in groups If they are eligible they get scholarship money and financial assistance and credit cards for students for payment are available.

Campus Life

We have many labs according to the course we have other than that we have common rooms for both boys and girls to play indoor games. We have grounds for outdoor games and clubs for different curricular activities.

Admission

My admission was through WBJEE rank, JEE rank is also acceptable and they check 10th and 12th marks. The admission can be done offline or online. It was a great experience in my life and I love it.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Reality of Jis college of engineering

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
