Bio-medical engineering or a bachelor of technology in bio-medical engineering is very important for medical science. Patients need treatment, for treatment needs machines and machines needs biomedical engineer. That's why I have chosen it. The student ratio is 3:1.

The total cost of any course is 4 lakh 95 thousand. But due to the other needs like tuition fees etc. College helps every student to get a scholarship. College helps us so much to get this kind of financial help.

Our college places a very important focus on tech fests and motivates us to participate in tech fest. many kind of extracurricular activities happens in our college. Like inter-departmental football tournaments etc. The college conducts tech fests every year.

Admission

There is two admission process one is direct admission and the other is from WBJEE or other competitive exams. On our official site, everyone can find the application for our college and if anyone can come to our college they can take it from our admission cell.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
