Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE (Mains) scored around 115 and had aboard percentage of 88%. I choose Thapar because it is has made its name from the past 65 years and that it is a well known brand around the global. I choose biotechnology as it has a lot of scope abroad as well as a way more boom in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is very great as it starts with the basics and then moves on to the advance level.

Internships Opportunities

Whirlpool, maruti 6,8, 14k per month at different places,dell,hp and etc.

Placement Experience

TCS,Whirlpool,Maruti,Make My Trip,Amazon,ZS technologies etc all had a packge ranging form 6.5 to 10 lakhs,Wallmart 19.5 lakhs.

Saturnalia techno cultural fest earlier it was only a cultural fest at a time it used to be the biggest cultural fest in north india,Urja sports fest.

Yes a variety of scholarships are there merit as well as for support of for people who are not finacially strong.

The campus life is all that one can expect in india. Girl is to boy ratio is less but not that less u can say its 1:4 respectively. It depends branch wise like in my branch it is as high as 18:1. The labs and sports facilities are top class and so r the extracurricular activities.

The hostels are top class the range from a variety sharing single ac nonac sharing and single. Hostel are even 7 floors high the fee the fee for the hostel range from 28k fer semester to 48 k per semester and the range include ac and non ac both. The mess

Thapar's Alumni circle is pretty big me being part of the governing society of alumni relations a total of 35000 alumni over the past 65 years and out of which 7500 are ceo's or heads of the company. So the alumni rating would be 9 out of 10.

The faculty here are great as they teach every topic to the best of there knowledge and us all means at there disposal.

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
