Dislikes
- All the textbooks I received was old textbooks.
- I really don't like the schedules of the classes, the tiffin hour is really short just 30 min.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Information Technology because it was my dream to become an IT engineer. All of our teachers are very friendly, especially our HOD sir. They are very helpful. For every group of students, our department has provided a mentor, if we're in a problem we can tell about that to our mentor. I'm happy with the teachers.
Internships Opportunities
"Bentley Systems India Private Limited" offered SDE roles with a 20k stipend. "Trilogy" offered SDE roles with a 35k stipend. "Gnosis Lab" offered 15k stipend for QA Engineer Roles. You can do projects in any domain department that will help you with your project.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of the 7th semester. Happiest Mind, AR Tech, Accenture, JUSPAY, Trilogy, and Wipro till now only these companies visited our campus. The average pagkage offered by the company is 4.6LPA. Last year's highest package was 10.7 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements depends upon the standards, Last year almost 80% of students from IT, CSE and ECE departments got placements. I'm to do a job for 2 years, then I'll try to crack the gate exam for my M.tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm from the 2020-2024 batch, at our time we need to pay a total of 4.15 lac in 4 years, and per semester we need to pay 45k. If any student has a good rank in WBJEE our college will provide a scholarship to him/her a scholarship he/she just needs to pay RS.1 per semester. Also if a student has 75% marks on the Higher Secondary exam he/she can apply for SCMCM scholarship, he/she will get 60k per year. I got a job with 5.5 LPA, at Accenture.
Campus Life
Last year there was an annual fest named "MaJISTech" also there was a Tech Fest named "JISTechFest 2k22". The annual fest is conducted within the month of October-November and the tech fest is normally conducted within May-June. Our college provides us with free books, all the seminar books are free and you can collect them from the library, after the seminar you need to return the books. Also if you need some more books you can collect it from the library for 15 Days, after 15 days you can submit/recollect the book as needed. In our college there are flipped classrooms on the 3rd floor, and there are also regular classrooms, all the flipped classrooms have a projector and a smart screen within them.
Admission
Overall the admission process was good. The eligibility for the course depends on your Higher Secondary mark and also on the rank of entrance exams like WBJEE, JEE etc. You need a rank card to get admission to our college. The application form is available on the official website of our college you can also fill the form offline at our college office. You need to pay 40,000 to confirm your slot at the college. If you have good results in WBJEE our college will provide a scholarship. Also if you have 75% marks on Higher Secondary Exam you can apply for "SVMCM" scholarship
