To get entrance for the bachelor program one may have to give Jee mains and for the master you have to give Jam , I have given the jee mains and advance. I got 1007 rank and there was not much better choice than IIT kharagpur. No , not any kind of interview thereafter. I always wanted to and have strong desire to get into computer engineering right from my childhood day

my course is very nice especially because of the faculties and all the staff, being in IIT is always an adventurous feeling. There are two semester in a year and in last you have to submit your project and report. Practical learning is the main moto of the college . college is known for it's research initiative college have delivered many research on satelite program, atomic nature, water treatment and all.

Internship has just basic criteria like placement and it is being taken as vital part of academics in KGP, students have to prove his abilities to the company to get hired as an intern. I have done my internship with Huawei India and was very much delightful with it's experience I learned that how work is being done in industries. Generally the good companies offer stipend of 7 to 10 thousand .

We all have heard about the 1st day placement of KGP, companies come and just hire almost all students in the first day of placement . College gives 100% placement and placement opportunity to all the students. So placement is very nice, the companies which are treated as very well in private colleges are being blacklisted here for eg. zomato etc. Major recruiters are Microsoft, Samsung , IBM, flipkart, Amazon. Highest package crossed 1 crore mark and average package is 9 lakh.

There are lot of events that are part of college curriculum , college organize the main fest which is spring that is on the odd semester . It is being organised with the international level of standardisation , many Bollywood actors have performed in it , various Kavi sammellans are also there where poets like kumar vishwas, rahat indori came. the main technical event that is being organized is Kshitiz in which the noble person of the world who are famous in their fields attend and have look on the projects made by students.

earlier fee was very less and hence it was economical but now there is huge increase in the fee structure of all the programs.though it is a government institute so it is worthy it is 2 lakh 90 thousand per year that includes the admission fee, tution fee and also the mess charges and all other examination fee.

Scholarship is only be available to those students who have done immensely nice work in their projects, their academics , in research , the scholarship could be in the form of money or in the form of admission to good foreign institutes for further studies, college recommend good students for free studies in top institutes. Loan is also being available by the college , there is SBI branch inside the college and it gives loans to the students of KGP at very affordable rates and with government subsidies.

The kharagpur focus on the diversified nature of the students so they put up efforts for it so that student not only get stuck with academics but also with the extra curricular activities. There is a society named Gymkhana that organizes many activities for the development of overall nature of students It includes many inter departmental competition regarding their technical skills, sporting skills , vocational skills and enterpenuership and leadership skills. I have explored lot of me from here and are impressed with it's facilities.

No, I am a day scholar . I left the hostel because I have to join for the GATE classes . only thing that the college lacks is the hostel facility there are not that much good facilities as it is being expected . Rooms are only being shared no single room availability is there. PG are there but that also do not have good conditions. hostel fee is included in the yearly fee you need not to pay additionally for it , yeah if you want to leave hostel then only mess charges will be deducted. Food quality is nice but they are not tasty though.

my college is oldest IIT of the nation, and hence the alumni of college is spread all over the nation and in world with prestigious position in many fields. some of the examples are microsoft ceo sundar pichai and delhi chief minister arvnd kejriwal. Proper platform is there to get connected alumni can register themselves in those site and we can interact with them. alumni have great role for development of institute many of them also serve as professors too.

You would be topper of your ton but here you will feel the value of marks , exams here in KGP sre very hard you have to cope up with course with immense speed as well as know there practical applications. Surprise tests are often you have to get prepared for it. So exams are little bit hectic to you. While it would be love for you to be in practicals they are time taking but you would enjoy it as you are going to learn lot of things from there.

The facultiy of IIT KGP does not need any kind of description though , they are amongst the top best professors of nation they all are highly eligible and have their own books , research papers and theories. They are highly qualified and have deep and strong knowledge of the subject. Interaction can be sometimes problem with some teacher because of the age gap but still it can be appreciated. Standard of teaching is beyond words I personally got influenced a lot.
