Internships

I am pursuing COE (computer engineering) right now as I have a specific interest in this subject and software fields. The faculty is good especially for the core subjects like Maths, Physics, and DSA. Most of the Faculty are PhD's in their respective subjects A lecture consists of an average 215 students

The internship opportunities start at the end of the second year or sometimes beginning of the third year. I know some of my seniors some of them got intern at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs .... Etc ..

Students are eligible for internships at the end of 2nd year which is 4th semester or at the beginning of 3rd year. Regarding placements, seminar starts to held at the beginning of 4th year i.e. 7th semester and the Companies comes in a very short duration after this semester The highest package was 55 lakh per annum and the average is from 12-15 lakh per annum

The fees are quite high, it is similar to the fees of other renowned private engineering colleges like BITS Pilani, SRM, VIT, LNMIIT But here students have a good amount of opportunities for scholarships besides this there is also a fee reduction if anyone belongs to a specific reservation class.

There are many tech fests, society fairs, and orientations held at regular intervals. Many sports and extracurricular activities events take place like dancing, music, cricket, and football There are many societies of different genres such as Tech, Literature, Music, Cinema

Exams to get admission- Jee Mains and 12th boards if you have a percentile of more than 93 then you can consider Thapar it's a very good option The application form can be found on the official website of Thapar i.e. thapar.edu, application form fee was Rs. 1500 its date starts after the first attempt of jee mains.
