We have to wear our uniforms everyday even after freshers.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this curriculum because keeping in mind the latest market trends of jobs. The student ratio is pretty good with 150 intake this current year. The teaching method is extremely good with qualified teachers, and advanced laboratories.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide internships as such. The students interested have to find them on their own. Seniors also help in doing so. College only provides us with workshops and training. But getting noc from college is a bit difficult.

Placement Experience

The placement record of the college is pretty good. Around 90 percent of the students last year were placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, etc. The average package is around 10 lpa. The highest package was 2.2 cr offered to a student of IT dept.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are around 6 lakhs for a course of 4 years. Scholarship opportunities are available. On-campus jobs are plenty and mostly available from the third year. Off-campus are of course available. Students staying in PG might have to spend more.

Campus Life

There are many fests in the college mostly in the month of November to February. Eastern India's second largest fest, Edge is held on campus. Plenty of sports fest but competition is very much in cricket.

Admission

I was enrolled through wbjee counseling. Students with a rank of more than 15000 are more likely to be eligible for the course. Application and necessary details can be found on the Internet. The admission process is smooth.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
