- There are a lot of students who have big goals in their life so being friends with them really helps in pushing myself harder each day.

Dislikes
- The hostel rooms for 2nd and 3rd year UG students are very bad.
- The competition among students is very high
- The grading in many of the courses is relative so becomes really hard to get a good grade
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course purely out of my interest. The faculty: student for UG in the Aerospace department is about 1:15 All the faculty members have PhD in their respective fields and most of them have done that from a good foreign University. Apart from mindsets and end-seams quizzes are conducted generally twice each semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered in the 2nd and 3rd year. Foreign internships are highly paid(usually above 2 lakhs per month) while in India internships usually pay between 40000 to 100000 INR. Most students opt for internships in 3rd year with a lesser number in 2nd year.
Placement Experience
as high as 95% of students get placed after completing a UG degree. Placements start in the 7th semester when almost all the renowned companies come to hire students. The highest package offered in 2023 was about 3.7 crore(converted to INR from USD) with an average of about 21-22 lakhs INR.
Fees and Financial Aid
Each semester has a tuition fee of 1 lakh INR with an additional fee for hostel and mess facilities which combined make up to 50000 INR. There are multiple scholarships available for students with a family income of less than 5 lakh INR per year. Student loans are also available under certain conditions.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest called Mood Indigo and the technical fest named Techfest, both are conducted in the month of December. IIT B has one of the biggest libraries across all colleges in India with thousands of books and journals. Lecture halls are well furnished. Almost every sports facilities are available on campus. All the clubs of IITB are run by students.
Admission
The entrance exam I appeared for was JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced. The students qualifying for JEE Mains get a chance to appear in JEE Advanced, the rank of which dictates your admission to IIT. To get admission to the branch I opted for(aerospace) the cutoff rank was about 2100 in JEE Advanced. The application for JEE Mains can be done at the official NTA website with an application fee of about 500 INR and for JEE Advanced application there is a seprate website made by the exam conducting IIT in that year and can be easily looked up by searching on any web browser.
