Course Curriculum Overview
I chose cse because I was good at coding. The student ratio is approx 27:4 boys: girls. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. scholars and professors are from iit Kharagpur, Jadavpur University, etc. Term exams were average difficulty but we had less time like 3-4 months for a term because we were late due to COVID.
Internships Opportunities
Capgemini, TCS, amazon, Wipro, Nvidia, and many other companies offered placement both physically or online. Overseas placements are also offered very nicely. The average this year was 13 lpa with almost 100 Percent placement.
Placement Experience
From 6 th or 5 semesters, you are eligible for internships. Though placements are offered to both third-year and fourth year, placements acquired are naturally from the fourth year. In terms of placement 90 - 95 % of students get placement on campus who opt for placement rest opt for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for a semester is 92500 and for a hostel is 52000. This is for per semester. No scholarships are available for the general category. Others can apply for scholarships. According to me, the course fee is too high, including the permanent campus and infrastructure is not established yet.
Campus Life
We gave a cultural event named Anukriti, and a few more but they are not fixed or announced, if the college provides permission and funds then only bigger fest or events can be planned. Social life is too bad here. We have our club Gymkhana where all social activities are hosted, and members of Gymkhana are more helpful than any college staff. The official website is managed by Gymkhana. Other clubs for singing dancing and drawing are pixel and Groovyz and for sports, we have a sports club.
Admission
My jee mains score was 97.65 percentile. I wanted to opt for cse so I chose iiit Kalyani which was close to my home and I was not getting a nit with a higher avg package in cse branch than this one. Participated in josaa then through CSAB councelling got admission. Had to report to college physically. The cutoff went about 56000 CRL. You can opt for this college through josaa counseling after the results of jee mains.
