college has best infrastructure in any other college in kerala but strictness of college authorities make this as a hell

course syllabus is based on mahatma gandhi university, kottayam but recently it is changed to kerala technical university. faculty is encouraging and hardworking

Internships Opportunities

we had done our internship on regional workshop calicut for 10 days and no stipend was offered. we have done our internship automobile based industry

Placement Experience

for computer science and ece ; most of them are placed; but for mechanical and civil branches has the least placement. TCS, suntech, oracle, suntherland are the main job providers came to college. around 70 students where placed at TCS

College Events

Main technical cultural fest holds by college is AZURE and it is fully controlled college management. ARENA is the basket tournament conducted yearly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

yearly tuition fees are around 75k and other fees are about 50k. A total of almost 1.5 lakh needed for one year after all expense. hostel rent is almost 15k per year and mess fees around 3.5k per month

loan facilities are available in college, full amount for course can be credited by loans . minority scholarship can be avail to the apporiate students having good marks

Campus Life

there is no politics in the college. The college have least priority to sports and extracurricular activities, the sports day was conducted in a duration of just 2 hours

Hostel Facilities

hostels are of good standards and facilities, but mess food is not up to the mark. The food making is almost mechanised and the college maintains good hygiene. Hostel rent is almost 15k per year and mess fees around 3.5k per month

since am a fresh passout student i don't know much about alumni. last year there is very least number of alumni students participated in alumini meet.

In a semester of 6 month duration two series exams and one model exam is conducted. the exams are strictly inspected

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
