What Students Say

Likes

Social life with students and helping in club events.
Reading hall which is located directly above the library.
Food at canteen is also not that bad and shakes too.

Dislikes

Area of campus is too small but I believe it will be bigger in future.
Classrooms are not aur conditioned due to which it is very hot in summers.
Unofficial freshers party was also not lived to my expectations.

Faculty members were also nice as they guided us very well. To be very honest I don't know the student ratio and for the exams, they are due to happen in December. Exams are dated from 18 December to 10 January.

To be very honest I really don't know what the criteria were for students to be eligible for the placement. I am yet to know about that from any senior or faculty members. It will be really helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

As we can see there are many colleges where fees are more than 10 lakhs and many people can't afford it but in these colleges, courses are affordable like my course costs 11 thousand only per year which is more than affordable.

Campus Life

Social life is good in college like the fests like dandiya night that happened recently. Books are available in the library. Classrooms are also filled with many students who socialize with everyone. There are many sports activities also in the college and tournaments are also going on right now for various activities. There are also many social clubs run by students like enacts, har ghar dhyana, etc.

Admission

The college is good but could be better as it is not as big as other colleges. It has improved a little in previous years and I believe that I can do much much better in the coming future as I can see the potential in the staff and the students. My college also prevails in reservation benefits because of that I got admission in it. There are many courses in it.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

This college was no.1 in my CUET preference list. I did few other courses for safer side but this course as well college was my top choice as it covers a lot of areas which are taught in MBBS and is quite interesting. Delhi University has 3 colleges for Biomedical Sciences, in which ANDC is the top college in terms of ranking that's why out of all three colleges this was my first choice. A few other options that I kept for me was microbiology, biochemistry in colleges such as Gargi and Deshbandhu. The college accepts your scores from CUET in subjects biology, chemistry and physics. The acceptance is done on the basis of your scores as well as your preference list. As this college was first on my preference list, I didn't get to face any rejection. The cutoffs for my admission year of 2024 was around 425+ for general category....Read More
