Course Curriculum Overview
I chose my course B.Tech in CSE-AIML because I had a knack for exploring this field. We have 10+ faculties in our department who are very cordial and knowledgeable. Everyone is at least PhD qualified. Exams were timely since they are an important metric to judge the effort students put into following the curriculum. With the quality of the teaching that takes place, the exams get done with some effort.
Internships Opportunities
HIT will assist you to find some good training in Good companies. Most of the companies are located in West Bengal. If you Want to do an internship you have to make your own effort to arrange it. There are so many examples of our seniors who have successfully arranged their internships. I think, Industrial Training is enough for your industrial exposure.
Placement Experience
Students get eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Some companies that visited are- TCS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, MINDTREE, RELIANCE, HCL, IOCL, COGNIZANT, HPL, etc. The highest package offered was 12L and the average was 5L. Around 91% of the students get placed. My plan is to get an off-campus placement since the pay grade is much higher in that case.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my batch, fees for 4 years are 4.6L excluding the hostel. The total fees probably hike 10-20k a year for the next batch. You can avail SVMCM if you are from WB or any other scheme if you are from any other state. The college administration is cordial regarding the matter.
Campus Life
Fests are a source of great pomp and fun here. Our Tech fest PRAYUKTI and cultural fest RIVIERA are very famous and are a surefire way to enjoy your time at college. They are mostly conducted during April. Our library is equipped with all of the books you would need according to your curriculum and study preferences. Classes have smartboards and our labs are great for performing hands-on practicals. Sports happen throughout the year, be it intra-college or inter-college and that too includes many sports. We have tons of Clubs to choose from. Media clubs, technical clubs, music clubs, dance clubs, NGOs, etc. They organize events all around the year and it's a great learning experience for all.
Admission
Eligibility: Have to pass 10th and 12th, Need to pass WBJEE/JEE or any other equivalent examination. The branch is based on the rank you get. Counseling is done through JOSAA and WBJEE counseling. Exam application dates and forms can be found on the websites of JOSAA and WBJEE respectively. There are reservation benefits for SC/ST and TFW students.
