Course Curriculum Overview
I can't get CSE that's why I got in Information Technology. The Faculty-student ratio is 2:5. Faculties are all highly qualified with doctorate certification. Term exams are every month and they are easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, and also many other reputed companies such as Flipkart. Creating a social media campaign or planning a guest speaker event. You could also have them create the blueprint or outline for the project or complete and produce the entire project. Ensure that they have the resources to plan and create the project and provide guidance when needed.
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are the main attraction of this college. This college is 2nd best in West Bengal in terms of placements in private engineering colleges. The highest package is 45 LPa, Average package is 5.75 LPA. Percentage of students getting placements - 92%. My plan is to do higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very moderate as compared to other private colleges in West Bengal. WBSCC and BSCC are the scholarships you can avail of. You can also get a stipend from on-campus internships given by the college. Financial assistance is also given to students who are below the poverty level.
Campus Life
Annual Fest is Riviera and Tech Fest is Prayukti. Classrooms are well availed with cctvs and smart boards as well as with air conditioner. The sports culture is the best in HIT among all other private engineering colleges in West Bengal. There are many societies in HIT such as the Computer Society of India, IETE, IEEE, ACM, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 beds in a room in a hostel. There are also tables and chairs for each candidate in a room. Every student has his own fan and lights right over their respective beds. Meal quality is just top-notch. You can't find any hostel in WB with such good quality food as Haldia's hostels. Khudiram and Gandhinagar are the places where you can find a room or PG.
Admission
You need to take the Wbjee exam and secure a rank to get into this college. You can find the application form at www.hithaldia.ac.in. No, reservation benefits as it is a private college. The admission process is up to the mark.
