I wanted to be a part of the IT sector which is why I chose this course. I guess the faculty ratio is quite nice in Thapar it's around 40:1 . IIT Ph.D. level faculty most of them having average teaching style not that good honestly. We are having our MST and EST time-to-time levels ranging from medium to hard. Sometimes easy to score however sometimes very difficult to get the grade.

I got an internship from a company called tech analogy in marketing where I learned how to pitch your product in front of a buyer. It was an unpaid internship. But many of my batchmates did many paid internships in web dev marketing and many more.

Placements are good at Thapar. Almost every known company comes to Thapar for recruiting it Google apple microsoft and many more. High chances of being placed through campus only. The average package is 12 lpa while the median is 10 lpa. Probably 100 % of placements are rewarded.

My semester fee is 2.5 lakhs which gets increased by 10 percent every year. Thapar has strong Indian and international relations which was the main reason for me joining this. Scholarships are granted based on merit and grades. Huge chances to get placed on the campus itself.

Life is good at Thapar. Besides the tough competition and some other activities, everybody enjoys being a part of this college. Biggest library in North India. Saturnalia as its annual fest comes in November. Classrooms and washrooms are properly cleaned. Good focus on sports and humanities. Almost every sport can be played having separated fields.

Admission on the basis of Jee as well as Pcm class 12 score. No GD or entrance exam. Application forms any other stuff on their official site. 50% seats are reserved under punjab quota and seats are reserved also for the backward classes. Eligibility is you should have an aggregate 60% marks in class 12 and appear in Jee.
