VERY GOOD COLLEGE IN ODISHA

Overall CET is a very good college in Odisha.The infrastructure of the college is rapidly increasing.It is also present in very peaceful location away from the hectics of the city.I will rate 9/10.

I have appeared JEE MAINS exam and i have scored 82/360 in the year 2014.The marks was evaluated by combining the JEE MAINS score and BOARD exam marks.I chose civil engineering in this college because there is lot of scope in getting government jobs.And this college is present in a very good location so that you can get ample time to prepare for that.

The course curriculum is very good. It covers a lot of important topics in detail.In the first three years you will cover all the subjects.And in the final year you will be allowed to do minimum two internships.This provides a practical experience about the course.I rate it 4/5.

Our college does not provide internship. Individuals have to do it of their own .The internship form are redirected from the placement cell .They are very helpful.The students are allowed to do internships in private as well as government organisation.College also provide reimbursement for some specified internships outside the state.As per new course curriculum you have to do minimum two Internships.

The overall placement of the college is good.But if I discuss about Civil Department it is very bad .Only 25/140 students were placed in the year 2018.The companies that came to CET,BBSR for hiring students from civil engineering department are Vedanta,Musigma,ZS Assosciates,TCS,Sterling And wilson,Pradan(NGO),THOOMRI(shopping),NET2SOURCE.The average package is 3.5 LACS per annum.If we include other branches around 74 companies came to campus .

The events in this College is celebrated with great pomp and show.There are cultural fests(XTASY),Sports meet(ENGINEERS CUP),Literary Fest,Technical Fest,Science exhibition,Athletic Meet.Different college are allowed to participate in different events and also get a good chance to win exciting prize money.These are celebrated for around 5-6 days.

Fee structure is very feasible compared to other colleges in Odisha.It is 15,700 for day scholars and for hostelites it is 21,500(excluding mess fee which is 10,500).There is fee reduction for TFW (tution fee waiver) students.But for branches like Computer science and Information technology the fees is around 45000. All the above mentioned fees are per semester.

Yes scholarship is provided by the college to meritorious students.Loan Facility is also offered by our college.The scholarship provided by the college is around 400 rupees per month. Students also gets medhabruti scholarship which is 10000 per year.I have availed medhabruti.Reserved candidates are allowed to get Prerna scholarships.

This is the best part of my College life. The gender ratio per class is about 50:30 boys: girls respectively. There are different labs for different streams. Different workshops are also organized in our college. There are separate technical clubs for different disciplines.ZAIRA(Robotics club),SPECTRUM,SAE etc.Literary society is also available which organize different literary events like debates, essay, poster competition etc. There is no religious issue. There is no racism. There is also separate dramatics society and singing club. There are grounds for Cricket, football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton etc.

The hostel facilities are good. There are separate hostels for First years and the remaining years. Inside college campus, there are 4 hostels. Two Boys hostel and two girls hostel. First-year students have special hostel outside college campus just One km away from college gate. The mess food provided is not so good. Someday it is good.They provide nonveg(chicken,mutton,egg,fish) and veg(paneer,mushroom etc).The mess is not so clean.

The relation with the alumni of our college is very good. This also helps the college during placements.A special event is also organized for alumni of CET.Special events were conducted for them.The senior students were very helpful. They also help us in clearing our Doubts.There is no ragging at all.In hostel as well seniors do not harm anyone physically or mentally.

There are 8 Semesters.Each year is divide into two semesters.In each semester there are two internals.Lab Tests were also done accordingly.Exams are not so frequent .Surprise tests are also conducted by teachers.Major and minor projects are to be submitted at the end of 8th semester including Comprehensive VIVA which includes the course of four years.

After getting the total evaluated marks ,first of all you have to applied for the stream and the specified college.Then document verification will be done.After that you will get a intimation letter and you will be called for admission to the college as mentioned in the intimation letter.You will be given a date .You should be prepared with the amount of money.It is Quite easy.

The faculty of this college are well educated.They have vast knowledge about the course curriculum.They helps the student to clear their doubts.They are very friendly.As you know about every government organisations you have to make 4 rounds to get one signature.In this point of view their are certain teachers who are not so much helpful.
