My college life

The main reason that I chose cse was my parent's dream to see me as an engineer and among all the courses in engineering cse was the best in scope. So I chose it. The faculty members here are very nice. Due to them, I didn't face any problems in adjusting. The faculty members here are very highly educated. Most of them are from government colleges and are very respected here. As I am in 1st year, I don't have any idea about the difficulty level of term exams.

Though I am in 1st year but there were nice numbers of internships for us from the college. There was also a hackathon in this college which provided a nice opportunity for everyone. For the internship, we were asked to do power point presentation and some coding kinds of stuff.

The placement here in Heritage is quite good. From 3rd semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Many nice companies come here and hire students both in mass as well as single. Some of them are TCS, Amazon Microsoft, etc. The highest package was about 42 lakh and the average is 5 lakh. From cse department around 80 percent get placed.

The fee structure of this college is around 4 lakh for 4 years, so it is about fifty thousand every semester here. On-campus scholarships are there and a high chance to get here and have to score a lot to shine but it's a bonus life if you get it. There are state government scholarships too for WB students.

The campus of the Heritage Institute of Technology is very large and I find it very well maintained. The natural beauty of the trees and the college is good to be expressed. And there are many clubs to take part in. I currently am in 2 clubs and I find very interesting things to do here. The library is pretty decent.

I took 2 exams for admission. The first one was Jee mains and the second was the wbjee exam. We could get admission from anyone of these. Luckily I qualified for both of them so I didn't face any problem with entry. The eligibility for wbjee was around 3000 rank in all India for the heritage institute, cse department. The application form is available online and can be filled out by anyone easily. The fee for taking the exam was 500 rs for the general category. The last date for application was in January. The improvement that can be done according to me is about the category system. In the other states, students had to get a very high rank to get into good colleges.
