Campus is very beautiful with large playground.
Faculty members are knowledgeable,they are teaching with great enthusiasm.
Infrastructure of this college is quite good

Dislikes

Placement average is quiet low even for CSE student.
There is no GYM facilities for the students
There is no AC classroom.. sometimes it creates a problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted computer science and Engineering because I want to contribute in the technological world and wants to do problem solving.student ratio is around 1:10.. Faculties are mostly PhD holders with unique teaching method.Exams are held on time and semester papers are generally easy.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I haven't intern any companies till now but yeah I know the companies which comes for intership offers. .. projects can be performed with the GDSC team members they help us to complete them with great ideas.

Placement Experience

Placement offers in my college are mainly of around 4-5 lakh per annum..But there are certain company's which gives good salary of around 10lakh per annum..There are so many tech companies visiting our college.. Every year around 20-25 company visit for campus placement...70-80 percent student gets campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a hike of fees for the West Bengal students only..there is TFW kota for the students'with very low family income.there is no scholarship for outside student..Total cost to study BTech is 4.2 lakh total without hostel facility.

Hack heritage Hackathon.. October mela these are conducted for the students having knowledge of coding skills.. Books are provided to everyone and we can also take it from Library.Classrooms are great with good lighting and environment.Sports activity are always happening in college one can take part any day.There are 22 clubs in which students can join.

Admission

We need to give WBJEE exam.We can find application dates and fees on the wbjee.nic.in website..Thereis no reservations in college..but 10 percent of seats are under managing kota and 10 percent is under jee mains and 80percentseats on the basis of wbjee exam.Admission is give on the basis of rank achieved in the exams.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
