Course Curriculum Overview
I got the computer science and business systems, the newest branch in Thapar University Patiala and the student ratio is also moderate like 80 students per batch. the faculty are awarded PhDs and their teaching method is very understandable
Placement Experience
After the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. The highest packages go 50+ and the average package is 15 lakh of computer branches. Most of the students get placed in their dream companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees are quite high, like for a computer branch one must need at least 35 lakhs. If the student scores 10 cgpa in the semester they are eligible for the scholarships. Including to this the hostel's fees are also quite high
Campus Life
As a Thapar University student, I rate the fests and tech fest a 10/10. There are almost 40+ societies which help the student to have connections with seniors and juniors and help to enhance their social life in college. They also manage the fests. The library is huge, and there are lakhs of books, which help the students to enhance their knowledge
Hostel Facilities
The prices of hostels are quite high, but they are worth it, they provide proper bed windows Acs fans etc. The mess food differs from hostel to hostel but they are good and also provide a variety of dishes. The hostel registration is also provided on Thapar's official website. There are many local Pgs also
Admission
You have to give jee, it is a basic need, and you can find the form online on Thapar's official website. On the website, they provide all the dates regarding the application fees and dates. After that, they release the cutoff percentage and if you markup to that point they will mail you about the counselling procedure
