Course Curriculum Overview
I am CSE 1st year student. Kolkata is the best college for CSE, IT and ECE. And teachers here are well qualified and very interactive with students. Scheduled class tests are taken for each subject and for these students language barrier is also minimal in this college. In my class among 60, almost 50 are boys.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year to the end, students are eligible for placement. According to our seniors. this year there has been little effect of the recession but still placement in CSE is around 4-5lpa. And most of the students get the placement from the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
In our college, the fee structure for 1st sem at the time of admission is 72000 for 2nd sem-44000, 3rd and 4th sem-45100 each, 5th and 6th sem- 46200each, 7th and 8th sem- 47300each. And sem books are provided by the college library only. There are no scholarships for os students
Campus Life
No fest is organised by the college. In between on special occasions, functions are organised by seniors. all types of course-related, literature and preparation books are available in the library. Sports facilities are there in our college and from time to time inter-college competitions in different sports are organised. There are many clubs for different purposes in college like debate, drama, coding, photography etc.
Admission
For admission to the Heritage Institute of Technology, you have to appear for Wbjee. The application form comes out in Jan you can check on the Wbjee site and its fee is also very low (500). Its exam is in March/ April. Usually, the cutoff for CSE is around 3200 rank in Wbjee for OS students.
