Yes, IIT Kharagpur provides internship to outsiders. But usually there is no stipend but accommodations are offered in most of the cases. and going to a 2100 acre campus will be a good experience for anyone.and the quality of work will be good as most of the projects are industrial work or research. Many companies such as Goldman Sachs, Indian Navy, Lok sabha, Schlumberger etc.

in the year 2017-18, 89% Students were placed and most of the profiles offered by companies were Data mining, coding, and consultancy. Companies came for placements include Flipkart, Amazon, Mercedes Benz etc. This year most of the students got placed and many opted for higher studies. Getting a referral from faculties is not too hectic if you have done decent work. Packages offered were between 8Lakhs to 40 lakhs. Many students had pre-placement offers.

Each and every department holds a technical fest of their own and a big techno management and cultural fest is organised in IIT Kharagpur. from singles sharing to triple sharing, IIT Kharagpur accommodations are divided between 21 hostels. and all of the hostels are independent from each other and most of the work in hostels is handled by students only.quality of rooms vary from hostel to hostel as some are only 2 years old and some are 60 years old. But the living standards and facilities related to sports and culture are in very good condition you could play any sports you want to learn any instrument you want and develop any new technology within the hostel. Mess menu and quality of the food is also monitored by students themselves so it is better

during exams day it could be hectic but on other days it depends on our schedule. But mostly exams and labs are chilled out. Because for a subject we're just gonna have 2 exam and 2 class tests which is not too much for one semester.And labs are also weekly so three hour class in a week is not too hectic and availability of good instruments in laboratories make our mood happy so overall labs and exam are chilled out.

After getting selected in jee mains and advanced we need to perform the counselling of choices provided by jee admission portal. After that everything is simple and straightforward as everything is well defined on institute website and seniors are very helpful.

Faculty of IIT Kharagpur is highly qualified and talented and most of the faculty is totally driven to their research work and the subjects they have offered to the Students. Most of them are always ready to clear your doubts regarding anything and many of them will be your friends in need if you ask them politely.
