Remarks

Bad thing about college is nothing but the proximity as it is a bit far from the metro station (the new station is being constructed on pink line) which will reduce the distance. Now one has to take an auto from the metro station and the auto takes ₹20 to the college which can be little expensive for some students. Otherwise college management and other faculty is very supportive but there is one thing that if you want to some event or anything in the college you have to seek the permission of the authorities which is not easy as the area comes under PWD and it is government's work so you can assume the difficulties to get the permissions.

Entrance Preview

As I am pursuing b.com(p) from Delhi college of arts and commerce which comes under university of Delhi, so it doesn't have any entrance test to get admission in this course you just need check the cut off list if it comes under your scored percentage then you can easily get admission by going to college itself. The admission process is simple you just need to go to college and fill the form in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In every semester i.e. 6 semesters you will be taught different subjects (4 subjects) every semester in case of b.com(p) and if you are doing any Hons course then you will get one additional elective subject apart from 4 subjects. There will be EVS in 1st semester and afterwards there will be chocie in Hindi and English in every semester in case of programme courses.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, in our college there is internship fair held every year by the society called vyapar an e-cell of Dcac. This internship fair is very useful to gain experience of the gd pi rounds as you sit before professionals and give your interview. This year several companies came to hire interns like Nexa, IDBI federal, sharekhan, asahi, book my show, axis etc and many more startups . Many of them provided fixed stipend of 5000 pm and some provided performance based stipend .

Placement Experience

4.5

Generally there is placements in the commerce department only which I know. The companies like big four come to like E&Y, Kpmg(global & india) both , pwc , delloite and Genpact etc. Average package is around 3-4 lakhs per annum. Most of my seniors got placed in the mentioned companies . To sit in the placement one must score the minimum score which is 6 CGPA that is required by the companies to sit in the placement of theirs however some of the companies doesn't ask for the minimum score and anyone can sit for the placement.

College Events

5

The college is the happening place all the year there are some events going on all the time . Th annual culture fest of Dcac is Ambrosia in which around 5000-8000 students across different colleges come to participate in different events and enjoy the star nights or other events .you can also participate in the evests organised and win some cash prizes and after annual fest there is Nss anuual fest which is also on the large scale in it 5000-6000 students come to see the event and in college every department has their own tests . The commerce department fest is known as komercio in which 4 societies which come under the commerce association and I am sure If you join any 1 of them it will be the best part and decision of your college life and you will get Amazing new family and friends . The 4 society's organise a fest and many events to.make it a success.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible and it is a government university and dcac college comes under the state government so the face is very feasible father fire for the first year admission fees is rupees around Rs.10000 and if you are going to do any additional course then it will have its own fees and for the 3 semester the examination fees will be Nil after that the examination fees will be around 200 rupees .

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available only for reseverd categories that is sc,st, obc the whole fees of the year would be refunded however there is no such facility available for he general category students. But there is also one facility which is provided by the college is the distribution of laptop one can apply for the same by filling the form and it is available for all the students.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is amazing. Initially you will found college very boring as you will be new but after you have made your friends it will be amazing as one could think about. And as I said above you should join the societies it will give you the exposure and new experiences like never before and some unforgettable memories and if you are passionate about dancing music, debating, acting or any other extracurricular activities then there are active societies for you,you can just give you audition and apply in them and they will give you the platform you need to showcase you talent and or sometime can let you know about the hidden talent in you and there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, sex or any other things. And about the politics our college is not affiliated with the delhi university students union (dusu )(nsui, abvp) which is good point for many as this maintains the good and cream crowd in the college. College holds its own election irrespective of the dusu. So if you want to join abvp aur nsui then this can be the point which will resist you to take admission in this college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college doesn't have its own hostel but in the nearby there are many Pg's in which you can see the rooms whose rent will be around 4000-5000 without food and 6000-7000 with food and if you don't want to share your room and want some privacgy them you can go for a rented flat then, it can be also found for 7000-8000

Alumni/Alumna

With my personal experience, When I took admission in the college I was very nervous and shy but excited also at the time on the very first day of the college but after going there the seniors were very helpful they told us about the college and the other things nearby things around the college , so you will found amazing seniors here and it can also happen that you will be friends with you seniors more rather than your own classmates. Seniors here are just fun loving, amazing and will be there to help and guide you at any situations.

Exam Structure

Exams are held in every six months that are called exam structure which is of 75 marks and other 25 are of internals which include tests(10 marks) assignment (10marks) and attendance (5 marks) attendance however fortunately is not an issue in Dcac you will be provided your admit card if you have short attendance which can be of any reason and this is the bestest thing about this college . Coming back to exams exams are held in two shift that is morning shift which is 9-12 am and evening shift 3-6 pm ,and if you have the practicals then they will be of 1 hour which will be over by 12 pm

Admission

As I said before one can get the form from the college itself, you should go to college only after checking the cut off if you percentage is falling under the particular cut off, after obtaining the form you can fill it and if you are facing any difficulty in filling it there will be Nss members and some other students who will be ready to help you anytime which will make the whole process easy and after filling the form it will be verified by the faculty it will take little bit time but by then you can communicate with the students of college If you have any queries or doubt at that time or you can also see the whole campus.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in the college is highly qualified and professional. Many professors have their own researchers and thesis on their subjects and they are always ready to help students in every matter. So you can ask them any problem if you have they are very friendly making studies interactive and fun. However some of the lectures you will find the little bit boring but you will get their full knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
