- As we talk about campus life then i would say this is best among any other colleges
- We have two major fest. Tech fest kshtiz which is asia biggest tech fest.
- Campus is almost in 2200 acre and greenery is everywhere.
Dislikes
- One thing that i want talk about is couples. They are everywhere.
- We have nothing to explore outside the campus.
- As i have mentioned campus is too large but after certain period of time it became cons because u have to cover approx 5-6km daily to attend all classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
As in IIT college, if you get a good AIR then you can choose any stream of your choice but if your AIR is not so good then the top course selection gets closed, Then you have to choose your course from the lower stream. As I have not secured good AIR so, I have to select a Mining course to get admission in this world-renowned and oldest IIT of India, IIT Kharagpur. As I have 8 subjects in each semester, different faculties are available for their specific course. The faculty and student ratio is far better. They are very helpful toward students' individual progress. You can ask for any type of academic help via email or contact number at any time. As this is an IIT college, all of the teachers are well enough qualified even though many of them are involved in research at the international level. They taught each and every topic with their full strength to make it easier for students to understand and used to teach in the English language so that each and every student could understand, 2 exams per semester.
Internships Opportunities
Eight weeks of summer practical training (at the end of 3rd Year of B Tech / B.S, 4th Year of M Tech Dual Degree, 4th Year of 5 years. Summer Internship opportunities. Every year the Department hosts a huge number of excellent quality interns during the summer (typically June/July).
Placement Experience
From 3rd year students are eligible for placement. Almost all tech giant companies come in placement sessions. Approx. 3 crore is the highest package and the average package is about 25lpa. Approx. 90 percent students got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester you have to pay approx 1.5 lakhs. But if you belong to the SC, the ST category then you will get 1 lakh compensation and you have to pay roughly 50k per semester. If you are a general student then there are certain criteria to avail scholarship: If your family's annual income is less than 1 lakh then you get compensation of 1 lakh, below 8 lakhs you will get compensation of approx. 33000 in your fee.
Campus Life
Spring fest during spring, Kshitij fest during autumn, Illu on Diwali, and a lot of types of fest organized every year. Spring and Kshitij are Asia's biggest fest of this college. Books are more than enough in the library even if you can't read all in your whole college life as many books are available here for every stream guys. All types of sports (including swimming, gym, powerlifting)are used to play here. Specific grounds are available for each type of sport and coaches are also available. These games are played among halls even every year among different IITs games are played as a league. A lot of groups are present like E-cell, TMES club NSO, NSS, and many groups for different physical activities.
Admission
12th passed out student with PCM subjects. Also, he has to qualify JEE MAINS entrance exam to get the opportunity to take the entrance exam of IIT ( whose form-filling process is online at the JOSAA website and the examination name is JEE Advanced). If a student qualifies for this JEE Advanced exam and also secures any AIR. Then he is eligible for admission to any IIT college.
