Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in microelectronics so I chose ECE. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:14. Some of the faculties has PhDs and others has master's degree from reputed institutions. Their teacher method is extremely enthusiastic. An end-term exam is held after every semester.
Internships Opportunities
There are many paid internship opportunities available from 2nd year onwards. Both core and non-core students can have that. As I am in my first year, I don't know that much about internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd semester, students become available for campus placement. IBM, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Foxconn, visit campus every year. Average placements vary from 6 to 8 lacs per annum. I want to pursue higher studies after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee is fixed as per WB government, about 4 lacs in 4 years. Many banks provide student-friendly loans, besides you can apply for scholarships under the WB government and others. Campus placement is moderate to good.
Campus Life
We have an Annual tech fest as well as a cultural fest. All types of course-related books and journals are available in the central library. Robotics club, aerospace engineering club, and various other clubs are active.
Admission
You can get admission through WBJEE or JEE Mains. Only 10% seat is reserved for the JEE Mains candidate. You can find the application form on the WBJEE website. The application fee is naturally 500 rupees. For further details visit the college website.
