Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B. Tech. as I wanted to go for the Android Development field of Computer Science. Faculty Student Ratio is good, each branch has a minimum of 6-9 faculty per semester. The faculty are Ph.D. holders and the guest's faculty is Postgraduates, with a very amazing teaching methods and proper explanations. Each semester has 4 exams, CT 1, 2, 3, and End-Semester and it is easy to pass them.
Placement Experience
Campus Placements are available in KNIT with an average package of 5.5 LPA. Students are eligible for the placements in their 7th semester. There are companies like Tata, Optem, Infosys etc that gives campus placements in KNIT. Highest package is 10+ LPA oncampus and 50+ off campus. Almost 90% gets placed in IT branch. My plan is to work as an Android Developer for a company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee of B tech is 82850 including the hostel fee of 10000. There is an extra 20000 per semester fee for the Mess. This pattern remains unchanged for all the semesters ( IT has 15000 extra ). Getting a Scholarship at KNIT is very easy. There are many opportunities for getting a scholarship either from govt or any other organization. There are some reserved Fee waiver students too.
Campus Life
The campus is very beautiful. Anubhuti is the annual cultural fest of KNIT and Effulgence is the Tech fest. There are 2 Liabraries available on campus which can be assessed when having a Liabraries card. There are also a lot of sports that are practiced on a daily basis here for example, Basketball, Badminton, Football, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Volleyball etc. Photography and Fine Arts Club ( PFAC ) is a club for art and craft and photography. The cultural council includes Dancing, Singing, Dramatics and Compering. There are other clubs and cells too like Startup Cell, Hobby Club, Drishticone( College Newspaper club ), Teach For Technocrats, etc.
Admission
The entrance examination for aktu admission is JEE MAINS. Firstly intermediate passed candidates or droppers have to appear for the jee mains exam and after the result declaration, The candidates must register themselves on the Upsee counseling website. The fee of general/OBC is 1000Rs. meanwhile for SC/ST is 500Rs. There is not much difference between OBC and General but further than that affects a lot. A caste certificate is required to avail of the reservation. General candidates with EWS certificates also get reservations.
